第八届国际加工技术进展会议
征文通知
由北京航空航天大学和日本精密工学会主办的第八届国际加工技术进展会议（International Conference on Progress
of Machining Technology）将于2006年11月7-12日在日本松江召开，欢迎从事加工技术的各位专家、同行参加会议并发表您的最新研究成果，并借机参观东京国际机床展（JIMTOF’2006）。
经过十多年来与会同仁的共同努力，本会议在国内外同行的影响逐渐扩大。会议论文曾被ISTP、MSCI、CCP、STAR、AIAA、JICST、JST、中国机械工程文献光盘库等选录，其中ISTP已收录本会议连续四届的全部论文摘要，2004年的第七届会议论文摘要已被EI收录。

1. 为保证会议质量和效果，投稿者须承诺参加会议并宣读论文；
2. 请于2005年12月20日前采用邮寄或Email提交200单词的中英文摘要、作者姓名及单位、对应的中文译文，以及作者的联系方式（包括通信地址、电话、传真、Email等）。会务组将在2006年1月31日前通知摘要的录取情况；
3. 接到摘要录用后，请于2006年4月30日前按规定格式和要求准备中英文各一份全文，通过电子邮件或挂号寄秘书组。会务组将在2006年6月10日前通知全文的录取情况；
4. 论文录用后，请于2006年7月31日前将全文的PDF文件及打印件发往秘书组；

OBJECTIVES
The International Conference on Mechanical Transmissions(ICMT’2006) will
be held in Chongqing, China, during September 26-30,2006. The conference
will offer an opportunity to exchange innovations, research experiences
and new trends in the field of mechanical transmissions. Also, the conference
is expected as a forum to discuss the research and development strategies
for mechanical transmissions in the new century.
The conference includes two stages. The first stage will be held at Chongqing
University which includes the Pre-conference tour to famous Dazu Rock
Carvings, opening ceremony and the keynote speeches as well as parts of
session presentations. The second stage is for remained session presentations
and will be held at Jiuzhai County. Accepted papers and invited lectures
will be published in the conference proceedings, and in CD ROMs.
Chongqing, a city of 3000 years old, is the fourth municipality directly
under the Chinese Central Government and is located at the confluence
of the Yangtze River and the Jialing River. Transportation to Chongqing
is very convenient. There are great many of flights connecting Chongqing
with all the major cities in China, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou,
Wuhan, Hong Kong, etc. Also, over twenty international flights are available
here. Flights tickets can be purchased outside China with the help of
local traveling agencies. The conference will provide the opportunity
for you to share academic ideas and experiences with your counterparts
from all around the world. In addition to scholarly activities, you can
also enjoy the beautiful scenes of Chongqing and visit the Dazu Rock Carvings
as well as Jiuzhai County.

INSTRUCTIONS TO CONTRIBUTORS
1. Authors are invited to submit an abstract about 300 words to the Secretariat
by December 31, 2005. Abstract can be submitted via post, Fax or E-mail.
The abstract should includes the title of the paper, keywords, name(s)
of the author(s) and organization(s). The corresponding author should
provide postal address, telephone number, Fax number and E-mail address.
2. All abstracts will be reviewed. Abstracts acceptance will be notified
by March 31, 2006.
3. Authors of accepted abstracts would be invited to submit camera ready
manuscripts by post or E-mail. The deadline for receipt of manuscript
is July15, 2006. The papers should not have been previously published
elsewhere.
REGISTRATION FEES
The registration fees will cover the costs of conference proceedings,
pre-conference tour, morning and afternoon refreshment, lunch, dinner,
banquet, conference reception and traveling fees from Chongqing to Jiuzhai
County. The amount of registration fee is: US$ 700 for each attendant;
US$ 450 for a student.
For the accompanying persons, registration fee is US$450/each, which will
cover their pre-conference tour, lunch, dinner, banquet, conference reception
and traveling fees from Chongqing to Jiuzhai County.
For persons not going to Jiuzhai County, the registration fee is half
of the amount stated above.
ACCOMMODATION
The accommodation fee is approximately US&40-80/per person per night
depending on the room standard in Chongqing and Jiuzhai County.
INTRODUCTION OF SLMT
The State Key Laboratory of Mechanical Transmission (SLMT), Chongqing
University, was founded upon the approval of the Ministry of Science and
Technology, China in 1988. SLMT is the sole base sponsored by the Central
Government of China for the research and the training of highly skilled
experts in mechanical transmissions and related areas. Nowadays, there
are 35 staff members (including 10 professors, 11 associated professors,
several engineers and technicians) and 10 postdoctoral research fellows
and 32 Ph.D. students in the laboratory. The mainstreams of SLMT are:
(1) Mechanical transmissions, including innovations of mechanical transmissions,
traditional gears, high speed and heavy load gears, diagnosis/testing
and control of transmission system. (2) Vehicle power transmissions and
their controls, including various automatic transmissions, hybrid vehicle
transmissions, etc.
(3) Surface Engineering and Tribology in Mechanical Transmissions, such
as bearing, gears, etc. (4) Advanced Technologies in Mechanical Transmissions:
CAD/CAM/CAE/CAPP /PDM, WWW/Internet/CSCW, etc.
